Persis Ford was the daughter of Leslie West and Owen Ford and the sister of Kenneth Ford. Born in 1895, Persis took her family to visit Anne Blythe and her family in Ingleside every summer and became friends with Anne's daughters. She was known to be a very beautiful girl, which incited some jealously from Faith Meredith, who was also known to be good-looking and did not want to play second fiddle.
